Philippine music labels Viva Records, Vicor Music, and Ivory Music have released a new compilation featuring reimagined versions of original Pinoy music (OPM) classics, interpreted by some of today’s rising artists.
The six-track extended play, titled Swabe, includes updated renditions of songs by legacy acts such as Ice Seguerra, M.Y.M.P., Hotdog, Rico Blanco, South Border, and Ogie Alcasid. The project is a collaboration with Viva Music Publishing Inc.

Among the featured artists is Amiel Sol, known for his breakout hit “Sa Bawat Sandali,” who performs a modern take on Seguerra’s “Pagdating ng Panahon.” Singer Earl Agustin reworks M.Y.M.P.’s “A Little Bit” into a contemporary R&B version, while Janine Teñoso delivers her own spin on South Border’s “Love of My Life.”

Rob Deniel revisits the Manila Sound era with a cover of Hotdog’s “Ikaw Ang Miss Universe,” and Rhodessa, who gained recognition for her track “Kisame,” interprets Rico Blanco’s “Antukin.” Shanne Dandan offers a jazz-inflected rendition of Alcasid’s “Mahal Kita Walang Iba.”
The album was launched with a sold-out live show at Viva Café in Cubao, Quezon City on April 10. Swabe became available for streaming on major digital platforms starting April 25.
