Filipino actress Jodi Sta. Maria has been nominated for the prestigious Outstanding Asian Star award at the 20th Seoul International Drama Awards, organizers announced this week.
Sta. Maria, known for her acclaimed performance in The Broken Marriage Vow, joins an international nominee list that includes fellow Filipino actor Daniel Padilla, Japan’s Kentaro Sakaguchi, China’s Bai Yu, and Thailand’s Namtan Tipnaree.
Voting for the Asia Star Award opens on June 21 through the IdolChamp app and will run until July 20. Winners are determined by global fan votes, giving viewers across Asia a chance to support their favorite stars.
Sta. Maria, who earned an International Emmy nomination in 2016, has built a career known for emotional range and consistency across TV and film.
The Seoul International Drama Awards will be held on October 2 at KBS Hall in South Korea. The Outstanding Asian Star category celebrates actors whose work resonates strongly with audiences across the region.
