GMA Network launches multi-platform coverage for 2025 elections

GMA Network rolls out a multi-platform news operation for the country’s midterm elections, deploying over 800 personnel and leveraging digital tools to deliver real-time updates to more than 38 million viewers nationwide.

Branded as Eleksyon 2025: The GMA Integrated News Coverage, the network’s coverage begins at 4:00 a.m. today across GMA and GTV, continuing through the next day (May 13) as it tracks national and local results from key provinces and areas flagged by the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Seasoned anchors Mel Tiangco, Vicky Morales, Arnold Clavio, and Howie Severino lead the broadcast, joined by over a dozen correspondents, including Atom Araullo, Kara David, and Raffy Tima. The network’s flagship newscasts Unang Hirit, 24 Oras, and Saksi will feature special segments, while GTV will simulcast content alongside programs such as Dobol B TV and Balitanghali.

GMA’s election coverage includes 60 partner organizations, seven regional TV stations, and 21 radio stations. State-of-the-art graphics and data visualizations will be used throughout the broadcast to help viewers understand voting patterns and results.

The network will conduct live interviews with election officials and analysts and provide voter education and assistance programming as part of its “Dapat Totoo” campaign.

Under its #LocalNewsMatters initiative, GMA Regional TV will deploy over 60 digital and field teams to deliver updates via local newscasts like One North Central Luzon and One Mindanao. Coverage will be updated round-the-clock on regionaltv.com and social media platforms.

Radio coverage will begin May 11 on Super Radyo DZBB 594 and extend across 20 AM and FM stations, including those in Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, and Zamboanga. The program will also be simulcast on GTV’s Dobol B TV.

Global viewers will have access to coverage via GMA Pinoy TV, GMA Life TV, and GMA News TV. A dedicated website, eleksyon2025.ph, has also been launched to provide real-time data, candidate profiles, and a customizable voter checklist tool called MyKodigo. The platform, a collaboration between GMA News Online and GMA New Media, Inc., sources live results from COMELEC servers.

Digital coverage will be bolstered by #Eleksyonaryo: The Dapat Totoo Digital Exclusives, which has generated over 11 million views. The series includes youth-targeted explainers, voter interviews, and Q&A sessions with officials. GMA also reintroduced YouScoop+, allowing users to submit content and questions. A Digital Action Center will operate on election day with hubs in several regional cities.

The 2025 elections mark another milestone in GMA’s decades-long election reporting efforts. The network currently operates 115 TV and 21 radio stations, and has a digital audience of over 93 million followers and subscribers.
