2GO rolls out ‘classroom to career’ program

In a move to bridge the gap between academic learning and global employment, 2GO, the Philippines’ largest logistics and sea travel company, teamed up with WorkAbroad.ph, the nation’s premier overseas job platform, to launch the Enrollment to Employment (E2E) program.

The innovative training and career accelerator offers students unparalleled real-world experience and direct pathways to global opportunities.

Graduates of the program receive certificates that strengthen their credentials and enhance their resumes, giving them a competitive edge in securing employment both locally and abroad. Top-performing students may be offered full-time roles at 2GO or be fast-tracked for global job placements through WorkAbroad.ph’s extensive employer network.

Unlike traditional internship models, the E2E program offers total immersion in live operations. Students are placed directly inside 2GO’s active logistics and sea travel environments, where they participate in day-to-day work across shipboard hospitality and port-side logistics. Rather than simply observing, students are entrusted with real responsibilities, mentored by industry professionals, and evaluated based on performance and readiness for employment.

“This program gives students something they can’t get in a classroom or a short internship: total immersion in live maritime operations,” said Francis Chua, business unit head of 2GO Travel.

“With E2E, students don’t just earn hours—they gain experience, confidence, and a head start in building a career,” he said.

Under the E2E Program, students work aboard 2GO vessels and within its terminal operations, gaining firsthand exposure to the fast-paced logistics and hospitality environments of the maritime industry. Mentorship plays a central role, with each participant guided by experienced professionals who help them navigate both technical tasks and career development.

Participants also receive career coaching, resume-building support, and soft-skills development tailored to global hiring standards. These services include personalized profile assessments and job interview preparation—ensuring that each graduate of the program emerges with a competitive edge in the global workforce.

“What makes this different is simple—it leads to a career,” said Angelo Jayno, business unit head of WorkAbroad.ph.

“We go beyond job listings—we mentor students to become truly employable. Through personalized coaching and assessments, we help them discover their strengths, sharpen their edge, and stand out to global employers,’ he said.

WorkAbroad.ph exclusively partners with DMW-licensed (formerly POEA) recruitment agencies to ensure that all overseas opportunities are ethical, compliant, and legitimate. With access to thousands of job openings across industries and countries, the platform continues to serve as a trusted gateway for Filipino talent seeking to build sustainable global careers.

The Enrollment to Employment program is not just a training initiative—it is a bold move toward strengthening the Philippines’ future maritime workforce, both at home and abroad. It forms part of 2GO’s broader talent development roadmap, which focuses on preparing students for meaningful careers by aligning education with the evolving demands of the logistics, sea travel, and hospitality sectors.
