Protecting what matters: Stronger coverage, greater trust

In an unpredictable world, insurance is a pillar of resilience. For the third consecutive year, GSIS has exceeded its non-life insurance premium targets, reinforcing its role in protecting public institutions, properties, and lives.

In 2024 alone, GSIS generated P10.5 billion in non-life insurance premiums, far exceeding its P8.9 billion target. This includes the coverage of over 132,000 school buildings under the National Indemnity Insurance Program, and personal accident insurance for DepEd personnel.

GSIS had its first Joint Coordinating Committee meeting with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on March 13, 2025 to solidify the financial resilience of public assets against natural disasters.

Through the Seal of Protection Awards, GSIS also recognized local government units (LGU) and national agencies that champion asset protection, promoting a culture of preparedness across government.

Looking ahead, GSIS is set to launch a fully digital General Insurance Information System in cooperation with the Japan International Coordination Agency (JICA). This AI-enabled platform will allow real-time, paperless transactions for applications, endorsements, and claims—bringing ease, transparency, and speed to every insured institution.
