Building stronger connections: GSIS partners with PARE and PGEA

At the heart of GSIS’s mission is listening to its members. By deepening its partnerships with the Philippine Alliance of Retired Educators (PARE) and the Philippine Government Employees Association (PGEA), GSIS is turning feedback into action.

In February 2025, PGM Veloso inducted the new officers of PARE, including GSIS Trustee Beatriz Torno. A dialogue was also conducted during the event to respond to issues and concerned raised by PARE members.

PGEA leaders from Luzon and Mindanao complete the first GSIS-PGEA Speakers’ Bureau training aimed at empowering them to share verified GSIS information in their workplaces.

Meanwhile, GSIS and PGEA strengthened their collaboration with the launch of the GSIS-PGEA Speakers’ Bureau, held on May 7–8, 2025. With 27 union leaders trained, the program combats fake news and promotes grassroots understanding of GSIS programs. There was also an open dialogue in the PGEA national convention held at the GSIS Theater on May 22 which emphasized the importance of feedback, transparency, and continuous service improvement.

These alliances ensure that GSIS remains grounded, accountable, and connected to those it serves.
