One of A Kind Asia, in collaboration with Anessa—Asia’s number one suncare brand powered by over 100 years of research and innovation from Shiseido—and global performance wear brand 2XU, has unveiled the One of A Kind Wellness Escape, a groundbreaking fitness and wellness initiative set against the breathtaking backdrop of Balesin Island and other top destinations across the Philippines.
This holistic advocacy program redefines the wellness travel experience by spotlighting the Philippines’ pristine beaches while championing local tourism and sustainable living.
Its efforts were globally recognized when the Balesin Island Club secured second place in the “Innovation in Enterprises” category at the UNWTO Awards for Excellence and Innovation in Tourism.
This marks a historic milestone as the first Philippine resort to receive such an honor, underlining its commitment to sustainable tourism and community empowerment.
Wellness in Paradise
Guests immersed themselves in rejuvenating Holistic Pilates and yoga sessions, led by US-certified coach Princess Chuyaco, with support from Anessa Suncare.
These serene, sun-kissed workouts were complemented by energizing outdoor adventures, including pickleball and windsurfing, all set in the luxurious and eco-conscious surroundings of Balesin Island.
Balesin Island isn’t just a tropical paradise—it’s a sustainability pioneer. From sea salt beds to a central sewage treatment plant and advanced water recycling systems, Balesin showcases how luxury and eco-conscious living can go hand in hand.
Wellness in the City
The movement extended to Metro Manila with a back-to-back launch in Bonifacio Global City (BGC). Health coach and Spartan Boxing founder Christina Dinkel Maningo shared powerful insights on integrating sustainable wellness into everyday routines through mindful movement and intentional living.
Adding depth to the conversation, wellness advocates Angelo and Pepper Lozada emphasized the profound connection between physical fitness and holistic well-being, encouraging a lifestyle anchored in balance, discipline, and self-care.
Sustainable Collaboration
One of A Kind Asia has also partnered with Greennovation, led by Engr. Allan Majadillas and founded by Cip Opena, to promote sustainable resort solutions as they build sustainable resorts in one of the new premier islands in El Nido. This collaboration aims to engage individuals, companies, and communities in healthier and more sustainable and greener practices.
