The critically acclaimed film “Green Bones” is now available for streaming on Netflix.
Produced by GMA Pictures and helmed by award-winning director Zig Dulay, “Green Bones” follows the story of Domingo Zamora, played by Dennis Trillo, a man notorious for the brutal murder of his sister and niece. Zamora becomes the focus of a newly assigned prison guard, portrayed by Ruru Madrid, who is determined to keep him behind bars as he faces parole.
The film was a major winner at the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), taking home Best Picture, Best Actor (Dennis), Best Supporting Actor (Ruru), Best Screenplay (Ricky Lee and Angeli Atienza), Best Cinematography (Neil Daza), and Best Child Performer (Sienna Stevens).
Green Bones also swept top honors at the 3rd Gawad Dangal Filipino Awards, winning First Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Director for Dulay.
