Actor Paulo Avelino is set to lead a new ABS-CBN series after officially returning to Star Magic, the network’s talent agency.
Avelino, who has remained with ABS-CBN throughout his career, was formally welcomed back to Star Magic as he continues his work with the Kapamilya network. No details have been announced yet about the upcoming project, but ABS-CBN confirmed the series is in development.
The actor is renowned for his versatility across various genres, ranging from romantic comedies to complex character roles. He recently received the Best Actor award at the 2024 TAG Awards Chicago for his performance in the suspense-thriller series Linlang. He has also earned Best Actor honors from Gawad Urian and the Metro Manila Film Festival.
Avelino’s recent television roles include the Philippine adaptation of What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim, Flower of Evil, and The General’s Daughter. On film, he top-billed the box-office hit My Love Will Make You Disappear alongside Kim Chiu.
