P-pop group BINI has released a new single titled “Shagidi” during the North American leg of its “BINIverse World Tour,” drawing inspiration from a traditional Filipino children’s game.

The track, described as a playful dance anthem with a blend of local culture and global pop elements, was developed during an ABS-CBN Music songwriting camp in Davao last year. The event brought together international producers and Filipino artists, including Kapamilya performers Angela Ken, Angia Laurel, and Maymay Entrata.

A spontaneous game of “Shagidi Shapopo” among participants, captured on video, served as the basis for the song, co-written by Marqueze Parker, Tommy Brown, Courtlin Jabrae, JBach, and Angela Ken. One of the group’s members, Maloi, created the single’s cover artwork.

“Shagidi” follows the group’s recent comeback single “Blink Twice” and the release of its “Zero Pressure” performance video. BINI also launched its first variety show, BINIversus, which is now available on its official YouTube channel.
The all-female group continues to tour various U.S. cities as part of its international promotional campaign
