Canadian-born vlogger Kyle Jennermann, known for his “Becoming Filipino” YouTube channel, cast his first vote as a naturalized Filipino citizen during the 2025 national and local elections.
Jennermann, who took his Oath of Allegiance in September 2023, shared his voting experience on Facebook, expressing admiration for the process.
He praised the efficiency of the precinct in Taguig City, noting that it took him just 45 minutes to complete his vote.
He highlighted the clear signage, organized queuing system, and the use of voter receipts for verification as aspects that impressed him.
“Overall I was really impressed. Confident in everything to do with my votes being counted. Great vibe and helpful staff,” Jennermann wrote.
He also appreciated the security measures, such as the posting of his name and photo at the voting area entrance and the requirement of fingerprint verification, stating, “Literally no one could vote as me.”
He encouraged others to participate in the electoral process, emphasizing the importance of voting.
