Enchong Dee has confirmed that he had to step back from hosting Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab to focus on his role in the movie The Sacrifice with Lovi Poe.
Speaking about the decision, Dee mentioned that filming for the movie, which is under Poe’s C’est Lovi Production, requires a trip to Quezon, leading him to sacrifice other commitments, including his hosting role on the popular reality show.
“I just finished It’s Okay Not to Be Okay and now I’ll concentrate on my movie with Lovi,” Dee explained. Although he misses PBB Celebrity Collab, he continues to support the show, attending live telecasts when possible. “There are lots of hosts, so when one is absent, there is an alternate,” he noted, adding that the show has received positive feedback and strong ratings from viewers.
Dee also expressed his excitement about the collaboration between GMA and ABS-CBN on this PBB season.
“It shows we are one in the entertainment industry. After all, the real star of the show are the viewers,” he said.
Apart from his current film projects, including The Sacrifice, Dee has wrapped up an international project and The Fisher, directed by Paul Soriano.
“I’ve shot a Canadian film and am hopeful that everything will be released this year,” he said.
For now, Dee is focusing on The Sacrifice, which he described as one of his dream projects.
“This is my first movie for the year, and I just want to focus on it, especially since it’s my first screen collaboration with Lovi,” he shared.
The film, directed by Prime Cruz with a script by Jerrold Tarog, also stars Max Collins, Pokwang, Tommy Alejandrino, and others. Dee expressed his hope that the film will showcase Filipino culture to a global audience.

GMA Sparkle talent Lianne Valentin recently shared that while she is not currently focused on joining beauty pageants, she is not closing doors on the possibility in the future.
“For the past few years, I’ve been focused on my studies while juggling my showbiz career. I graduated last year with a degree in Business Administration Major in Human Resources,” she explained. “Now, I dedicate my time to my career, but I’m still young and open to the idea of joining beauty contests in the future.”
Valentin is currently working on a new drama series titled Akusada, where she shares the screen with Andrea Torres and Benjamin Alves. “It’s a fresh combination, so I hope avid TV buffs will support it,” she said.
The actress also reflected on her past series, Apoy sa Langit, which is being re-shown on GTV.
“I was surprised when I heard about it. I think I had a meaty role as Zoren Legaspi’s mistress. At least now, the audience can watch it again,” she added.
