Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial bet and Makati Mayor Abby Binay urged voters to support the group’s full senatorial slate, stressing the need for a unified team in the Senate to push for real change and deliver on campaign promises.
Speaking at a press conference in Dagupan City, Binay said it would be futile to elect candidates who do not share the same vision and aspirations.
Binay emphasized that an individual senator cannot effect legislative reforms alone, underscoring the Senate’s collegial nature. “Even if I win, if my colleagues who also win don’t share my advocacies, I still won’t be able to push my platform,” she said. She added that teamwork is critical in achieving legislative success.
Highlighting the need for collective campaigning, Binay explained that candidates must promote the entire slate, not just themselves.
Binay stressed that Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas adopts a group-centered campaign approach, always promoting the team over individual candidacies. “It cannot just be ‘me’; it must always be ‘us,’” she said. Joining Binay on the Alyansa slate are Benhur Abalos, Pia Cayetano, Panfilo Lacson, Lito Lapid, Manny Pacquiao, Bong Revilla, Vicente Sotto III, Francis Tolentino, and Erwin Tulfo.
