The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has rescued 121,000 children from hazardous labor in the last two years.
Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma credited the success to improved monitoring, profiling, and aid delivery systems.

Efforts include education assistance, livelihood support for families, and targeted interventions in agriculture, where child labor is most prevalent.
Laguesma reaffirmed the government’s commitment to eradicating child labor by 2030 in line with President Marcos Jr.’s vision.
