The Human Settlements Adjudication Commission (HSAC) has received an unmodified opinion from the Commission on Audit (COA) for 2024, reflecting the agency’s consistent adherence to sound financial management and transparency.
State auditors reported the audit result during the exit conference on May 19 before the HSAC officials. In a statement, HSAC said this marked the fourth consecutive year that it has earned an unmodified opinion.
COA commended the significant improvement in HSAC’s financial recording and the agency’s compliance with the planning and budgeting requirements of its Gender and Development programs and activities.
It said HSAC’s financial statements have followed the applicable financial reporting standards.
“HSAC continues to build on the legacy of its predecessor, the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board, which received multiple unmodified opinions,” the commission said.
The Association of Government Accountants of the Philippines inducted HSAC into its Hall of Fame in 2024 after being recognized as one of the country’s outstanding accounting offices for three consecutive years.
“The Commission remains committed to upholding the highest standards in public financial management,” HSAC noted.
