The submarine group of the Philippine Fleet joins for the first time in a submarine search-and-rescue drill hosted by the Turkish government.
The activity dubbed as “Exercise INVITEX 2025”, held in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea near Aksaz Naval Base, Turkey from April 24 to 30, the Philippine Fleet (PF) said in its Facebook post Sunday.
“During the exercise, participating navies engaged in a series of coordinated operations, planning and executing live drills aimed at enhancing interoperability, improving rescue capabilities, and strengthening international cooperation in submarine search and rescue operations,” the post read.
The drill included locating and identifying a distressed submarine, search exercise, escape exercise, submarine parachute assistance group exercise, rescue exercise, ventilation exercise, personnel transfer under pressure exercise, medical exercise, and medical evacuation operations.
