Palawan resort offers tailored getaways for dads ahead of Father’s Day

With its beaches, forests, and marine sanctuaries, Palawan remains one of the Philippines’ top holiday destinations for families. And this Father’s Day, the Four Points by Sheraton Palawan in Puerto Princesa is offering a variety of stay options for families looking to treat dads to a memorable trip, from nature hikes and water sports to craft beer and beachside dinners.

Located on Sabang Beach and part of the Marriott International group, the resort features amenities suited to different types of travelers. It has spacious rooms, a 24-hour gym, a swimming pool with a swim-up bar, and easy access to ecotourism sites and adventure spots in the area.

Dads with an active lifestyle can explore the surrounding nature trails on foot or by bike. Water sports such as solo and tandem kayaking, crystal kayaking, skimboarding, and snorkeling are available.

Sabang Beach is a marine protected area, and the hotel partners with local groups to offer community-led tours, including the Mangrove Paddleboat Tour and trips to Ugong Rock. Thrill-seekers may try the 800-meter Sabang Zipline or trek to the 50-foot-high Sabang Waterfall.

Food lovers can enjoy local cuisine at Evolution, the hotel’s all-day buffet and dining restaurant, which serves dishes made from organic, locally sourced ingredients.

Guests can also visit the nearby Sheridan Organic Farm for a tour and farm-to-table meals. Evolution and the pool bar offer cocktails inspired by tropical fruits and a rotating selection of craft beer under the Four Points chain’s Best Brews program.

Two featured drinks are brewed by Palaweño Brewery: “Pineapple by the Sea” and “Ayahay Beer – Suman Pandan Pale Ale,” a light and floral beer that draws inspiration from pandan and malagkit, ingredients common in Filipino desserts.

Tourists cruise along the Puerto Princesa Underground River, one of Palawan’s top ecotourism sites

Nature-focused activities are also available for those interested in learning about Palawan’s biodiversity. Aside from the paddleboat tour through mangrove forests, guests can sample tamilok, a local delicacy often referred to as woodworm, or take a short boat ride to the Puerto Princesa Underground River.

For those who prefer a slower pace, the hotel offers spa treatments, beachfront lounging, and sunset dining. Beachfront dinners for two are available for couples, while those looking for quiet moments can enjoy time in-room on Four Points’ signature Comfort Beds.

Guests who book directly via the hotel’s website at www.fourpointspalawan.com, by calling (048) 550 9000, or emailing reservations.palawan@fourpoints.com can access special offers. These include a free stay for a third guest under Flexible/Member Rates until Sept. 30, 35 percent off on shared airport transfers, and complimentary access to select water sports.
