Vice Ganda brings signature flair to new digital gaming platform

Vice Ganda headlined GameZone’s launch at Edsa Shangri-La Hotel on Wednesday night, May 28, as the platform officially introduced the popular television host and comedian as its first-ever celebrity endorser.

The event, dubbed “It’s a Match! GameZone Grand Launch,” gathered media and industry guests for the unveiling of the partnership between the TV personality and DigiPlus Interactive Corp.’s newest digital gaming platform.

Jasper Vicencio, president of BingoPlus and DigiPlus executive, described the platform as an experience that pays homage to the joy of traditional Filipino games while bringing them into a digital, interactive space.

“We’re excited to offer a space that celebrates that same spirit of fun, while also encouraging players to engage responsibly,” he said.

Vice Ganda, known as the beloved “Unkabogable Star,” said the appeal of the brand came from the fun and the shared values.

“This isn’t the first brand to tap me,” Vice Ganda said during the media Q&A. “But what made me say yes was that we both care about the people who support us. We share the same concern for our audience.”

That last point—responsibility—was clearly important to Vice Ganda, who requested that all GameZone marketing materials prominently include a reminder to “play responsibly and play for fun only.”

“Gaming is entertainment,” Vice Ganda told reporters. “Not a way of life, and definitely not a financial solution. We should play only when we have extra time, extra money. Never beyond that.”

Guests were also treated to a preview of GameZone’s colorful interface, upbeat campaign visuals, and the unmistakable comedic energy Vice Ganda brings to the endorsements. For fans, it was a natural match.

Asked what excites the TV host most about the partnership, Vice Ganda didn’t miss a beat.

“The stories,” the Unkabogable Star said. “I want to hear how GameZone helps people end their day with a smile. That’s what matters.”
