Full bloom for Mother’s Day

For many, the second Sunday of May is a reminder to slow down, reconnect, and celebrate the women who raised us. Whether it’s through a handwritten note, an intimate lunch, or a thoughtful surprise, the gesture matters more than the price tag.

With the city’s fast pace and packed schedules, finding a moment to unwind with our moms isn’t always easy. But as Mother’s Day approaches, it’s a great excuse to step back and carve out time for something a little more thoughtful.

This week, Robinsons Department Store (RDS) Galleria is giving families just that kind of space. Until May 14, the mall’s “Flower Festival 2025” offers a chance to take in some color and share memorable moments with the special women in our lives.

Designed to feel like a garden in full bloom, the department store’s interior was temporarily transformed into a colorful, immersive display of giant floral installations and artful arrangements that invite visitors to pause, explore, and snap a few photos along the way.

The event is a visual feast built around connection with loved ones, with creativity, and even with yourself. Whether you’re celebrating with your mom, making memories with friends, or simply taking a solo stroll through the displays, the Flower Festival is both a backdrop and an experience.

The festival opened earlier this week with an exclusive media preview and a flower arrangement workshop. In a bright corner of the department store, guests were guided through the basics of floral design—from selecting the right color combinations to trimming and arranging blooms in vases. Guests left not only with personalized centerpieces but also with a deeper appreciation for the patience and creativity involved in floral art.
