4-way jungle survival drill unfolds in Ilocos

A MULTILATERAL jungle survival training unfolded on Monday in Ilocos Norte province, aimed to arm the troops with essential survival expertise in hostile jungle environment.

Involved in the unique exercise are the Philippine Marine Corps, the United States Marine Corps, the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force , and the Republic of Korea Marine Corps, along with elements of the Philippine Coast Guard and the Philippine National Police Special Action Force (PNP-SAF).

The Jungle Environment Survival Training drill was staged in Barangay Tadao, Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte.

The exercise was designed to equip troops with essential survival skills in dense jungle environments. Filipino Marines demonstrated critical survival techniques using essential tools to endow jungle survival skills to their foreign counterparts. Observers from France and Thailand were also present during the training.
