CUSTOMS operatives have confiscated fake branded shoes and footwear worth millions of pesos stashed in several storage units in Pasay City.
The operation, conducted by the Bureau of Customs (BOC) in coordination with the Philippine National Police, resulted in the seizure of hundreds of big boxes containing goods with markings of several branded shoes such as Nike, Adidas, Converse, Crocs, Jordan, Onitsuka Tiger, Vans, Havaianas, Birkenstock, Anello, Lacoste, and Disney.

The raid was conducted on the strength of a warrant issued by Port of Manila district collector Alexander Gerard Alviar. The confiscation was executed for alleged violation of the intellectual property rights and the Customs and tariff laws.
