THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Friday reported the arrest of two South Africans at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Pasay City for possession of about 14 kilos of shabu worth about P98 million.
In a statement, the PDEA said the operation transpired at the Custom Exclusion Room, International Arrival Area, NAIA Terminal 3.
While scanning the baggage of the two South African passengers, a Customs X-ray operator noticed some suspicious substance, prompting him to put the baggage under K9 inspection. The suspects, whose identities were withheld, reportedly arrived via Emirates Airline from Johannesburg, South Africa with a connecting flight in Dubai, UAE bound to Manila.
