Jacinto Ng, Jr., Group Executive Officer, Joy~Nostalg Raemulan Lands, Inc., and EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2024 Philippines winner, represented the country at the prestigious EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year 2025 held in Monaco.
Ng was honored at the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2024 Philippines Awards Banquet for his significant contributions to enhancing opportunities and improving the social welfare of low-income Filipinos.
As the driving force behind Joy~Nostalg Raemulan Lands Inc., Ng has been instrumental in providing countless families with essential resources, education, and support, empowering them to rise above poverty and realize their dreams of homeownership. His efforts have not only transformed lives but have also created job opportunities and fostered the development of vibrant communities among homeowners.
“Our Joy~Nostalg Social Housing is low-tech, literally bricks and mortar; and its impact is limited to the Philippines, thus, smaller relative to the world. And what is of greater relevance to the world today may not be what’s relevant to us at home; for our relevance was perhaps their relevance decades upon decades ago,” Ng said.
“Yet it only means we need more of us to rise and raise others who need our light for we have seen much more and can see much better. Now that we have seen it, let us seize the day and every moment to love the Philippines more, and bring it one day soon for the world to celebrate with us,” he said.
“I’m going home to the Philippines for the Filipinos, much wiser, much stronger, much alive; and with a global inspiration to do more.”
Ng was accompanied by SGV chairman and country managing partner Wilson Tan, EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Philippines Program Director Henry Tan, Carrascal Nickel Corporation president Antonio Co, ECo Global Consulting, Inc. founder and chief executive Elenita Dela Rosa, Avocadoria.ph chief executive and president Czarina Sevilla, and his family.
At the award ceremony in Monaco’s Salle des Etoiles, Stina Ehrensvärd, founder of Yubico, was named the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year 2025.
Stina was selected from nearly 5,000 program participants, including 52 winners from 43 countries and jurisdictions competing for the global title. She is the fourth woman to receive this honor and the first winner from Sweden in the award’s 25-year history.
The EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year 2025 was determined by an independent panel of judges based on four key criteria: entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth, and impact. This year’s panel featured a diverse and esteemed group of entrepreneurs from around the globe, chaired by Asif Ramji, founder and chief executive of Venture Worx.
