Diversified conglomerate San Miguel Corp. (SMC) has received two major awards at the 2025 Global Good Governance (3G) Awards, recognizing its leadership in corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability reporting.
The international award-giving body, organized by UK-based Cambridge International Finance Advisory, honored SMC with the “3G Leadership Award in CSR 2025” and the “3G Best Sustainability Reporting 2025.”
The awards were presented during the 10th edition of the 3G Awards held in Brunei. SMC was chosen from a long list of international nominees through a rigorous selection process that began in October last year.
“To be counted among a distinguished line-up of globally recognized and successful companies is an honor. We thank Cambridge IFA behind the Global Good Governance Awards. As a company, we have also worked to grow not just in scale, but also in purpose — to be a force for good and help in nation-building,” said SMC president and chief executive Ramon Ang.
The 3G Awards recognize institutions that demonstrate strong commitment to sustainability, transparency, and good governance. Nominees are assessed based on their alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), community impact, innovation, and accountability.
The 3G Best Sustainability Reporting Award honors companies that provide detailed environmental and social performance reports integrated into their business strategy.
The 3G Leadership Award in CSR is given to companies with consistent and high-impact CSR efforts.
The awards reaffirm SMC’s status as a leader in sustainability in the Philippines and place it alongside global companies across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Africa.
Over the past years, SMC has made sustainability and social impact a cornerstone of its long-term strategy, with initiatives that span environmental stewardship, disaster and pandemic response, infrastructure development, food security, and livelihood programs.
