KMC Solutions, a Philippine provider of flexible office spaces, said Tuesday it became the first company globally to achieve three WELL ratings across its entire portfolio of flexible workspaces.
The ratings, awarded by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), include the WELL Coworking Rating, the WELL Health-Safety Rating and the WELL Equity Rating. The WELL Coworking Rating was recently launched by IWBI in partnership with The Instant Group, a global flexible workspace marketplace.
KMC, with 25 locations across the Philippines, said the achievement marks it as a pioneer in creating healthier, more sustainable and more productive workplaces.
KMC earned the WELL Equity Rating and the WELL Health-Safety Rating in 2023 across all its locations, becoming the first company in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region to achieve the WELL Equity Rating portfolio-wide. KMC achieved the WELL Coworking Rated status in 2025 shortly after its launch, as an early adopter.
“We are incredibly proud to be the first in the world to achieve these three WELL ratings across our entire portfolio,” KMC Solutions co-founder and chief executive Michael McCullough said.
“This accomplishment reflects our commitment to ensuring that KMC spaces provide an environment where our clients and employees thrive – physically, mentally and socially,” he said.
Jack Noonan, IWBI’s senior vice president and head of Asia-Pacific, said KMC’s “holistic approach to health and well-being reflects their dedication to advancing the future of workspaces, where health, safety and belonging form the cornerstone of success.”
Sam Pickering, executive director and head of sustainability at yhe Instant Group, called KMC’s achievement “a significant milestone – not just for them, but for the region as a whole.”
The WELL Coworking Rating, derived from the WELL Building Standard, encompasses over 50 features promoting advanced air and water quality, lighting and thermal comfort, physical fitness, access to healthy food, collaborative spaces and well-being-focused operational policies.
The WELL Health-Safety Rating focuses on operational excellence, addressing air and water quality, cleaning procedures, emergency preparedness, health resources and stakeholder engagement. The WELL Equity Rating provides a framework to improve access to health and well-being, prioritize inclusivity and promote engagement and belonging in workplaces.
