Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon led an onsite inspection of several ongoing infrastructure projects across the city today, underscoring the local government’s commitment to inclusive development, public safety, and efficient service delivery.
Taking center stage during the inspection was the Special Education (SPED) Center, a fully equipped and inclusive learning facility designed to serve students with special needs. The SPED Center features specialized classrooms, therapy rooms, and accessible amenities that meet the diverse learning requirements of differently abled learners—reflecting the city’s continuing efforts to uphold every child’s right to quality education.
“This SPED Center is more than just a building—it’s a statement of inclusion,” said Mayor Biazon. “We want every learner to feel supported and valued, and this facility brings us closer to that goal.”
Also part of the inspection were:
• The expansion of active and public transport infrastructure and the upcoming Road Safety Park, which aims to promote safer, greener, and more accessible urban mobility for all sectors.
• The Social Services Department Warehouse and Storage Facility, designed to streamline the management and delivery of essential social welfare goods and supplies.
• The City Health Office Storage Facility, ensuring proper inventory and distribution of medicines, vital health-related equipment and materials.
• The slope protection project along the Alabang-Bayanan River, a critical infrastructure to mitigate flooding and improve environmental resilience.
• The ongoing construction of the Muntinlupa Mega Health Center, a flagship health facility that will expand the city’s capacity to deliver quality public healthcare.
Mayor Biazon emphasized that these infrastructure projects are aligned with the city’s 7K Agenda—particularly in the areas of Kalusugan, Karunungan, and Kaayusan—and reaffirmed the local government’s resolve to pursue people-centered development.
“These initiatives are investments in the kind of city we want Muntinlupa to be—inclusive, resilient, and forward-thinking,” the mayor concluded.
