The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) said it allocated over P22 million in emergency loans for its members and pensioners affected by floods and prolonged rains in La Paz, Agusan del Sur. The application deadline for the loan is June 15, 2025.

Qualified members with existing emergency loans can borrow up to P40,000 to cover their previous balance and receive a maximum net amount of P20,000. Those without an existing emergency loan can apply for P20,000.

Pensioners residing in La Paz are also eligible, provided their net basic monthly pension is at least 25% of their total.

Loan proceeds will be electronically credited to the borrower’s eCard or UMID card.

The GSIS emergency loan is payable in 36 equal monthly installments at a 6% interest rate. It includes loan redemption insurance, which fully pays the loan in case of the borrower’s death, provided payments are up to date.

Members and pensioners can apply for the loan through the GSIS Touch mobile application, available on Google Play and Apple App Stores.
