STI Education Systems Holdings Inc., a listed company owned by businessman Eusebio Tanco, reported a 45-percent jump in net income to P1.62 billion in nine months of its fiscal year ending March 31, 2025 from P1.12 billion in the same period last year.
STI Holdings’ fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30, in line with its academic calendar.
The company said the growth was driven by higher student enrollment across its schools including STI Education Services Group (STI ESG), STI West Negros University (STI WNU) and iACADEMY.
Revenues rose 23 percent to P4.14 billion from P3.35 billion in the same period last year.
STI said that from January to March 2025, it recorded revenues of P1.51 billion, up 8 percent from P1.39 billion a year ago. Net income for the quarter also grew 18 percent to P706.6 million from P600.3 million.
The company said the strong financial performance was supported by a 15-percent increase in student enrollment.
Its student population reached 138,060 for school year 2024-2025, compared to 119,543 in the previous year. A total of 55,052 new students also enrolled in the current school year.
Operating income in the third quarter rose 18 percent to P774.4 million from P658.8 million a year earlier, helped by improved operations and cost control.
The company said its network of operating schools reached 63 as of end-March 2025, with 37 company-owned schools and 26 franchised schools.
It is constructing new schools in Alabang and Tanaun, Batangas.
The STI Academic Center Alabang, which has a total project cost of about P950.4 million, is expected to accommodate up to 10,000 students. The project is slated for completion in time for SY 2026-2027.
The construction of the P558.4-million STI Academic Center Tanauan is also ongoing. The 8-story building, which will include a service deck, is designed to house up to 6,000 students and will be situated on a 10,000 square-meter property at President Jose P. Laurel Highway, Barangay Darasa, Tanauan City, Batangas.
The project is expected to be completed in time for SY 2026-2027.
