Automotive electrical systems and industrial equipment firm HMWS Inc. is expanding its operations within the Clark Freeport with a P300 million investment that will create at least 200 new jobs.
A Clark locator since 2011, HMWS signed its expansion agreement with the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) on May 8 at the Clark Visitors Center.
CDC president and chief executive Agnes VST Devanadera underscored the importance of fostering a business environment that also prioritizes worker welfare.
“As estate manager, CDC must help provide the facilities and environment that support a real work-life balance. The best way to maintain industrial peace is by reaching out to workers and ensuring they have the resources they need,” she said.
“This continues what I would describe as a successful collaboration between our company’s vision and the remarkable work ethic of the Filipino people,” said HMWS Inc. President and Chairman Kevin John Woodbine.
Woodbine also shared plans to introduce new amenities focused on employee well-being.
“We’re adding sports facilities, a gym and health facilities for our staff, something we’re very proud of,” he said.
