The Social Housing Finance Corp. (SHFC) said it is expanding its national shelter initiatives, overseeing 81 projects expected to provide permanent housing to about 160,000 homeless beneficiaries under the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) program.
SHFC president and chief executive Federico Laxa said the corporation’s efforts, under the leadership of Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar, reflected their commitment to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s national shelter agenda.
“We aim to uplift communities and improve quality of life through inclusive urban development,” he said.
“We are not just building houses—we are building hope, dignity, and opportunity for every Filipino family. We are making the dream of a decent and secure home a reality for our workers and their families,” Laxa said.
SHFC reported that more than 300 notices of award from the Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund) had been issued to beneficiaries as of April 2025, formalizing the approval of their loan applications for 4PH projects.
