Ayala warns public vs. fake Zobel posts

Ayala Corp. warned the public against fraudulent social media posts using the name and likeness of its chairman Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala for supposed endorsements of investment opportunities. These posts are deepfakes, the company said.

Ayala said it is not in any way associated with individuals or firms behind posts that invite the public to participate in an investment scheme.

“We urge the public to be discerning. Please do not engage with these posts. Instead, report pages with such misleading content for violation of social media community guidelines,” the conglomerate said.

Ayala said it connects with the public only through its official website and social media pages: the Ayala Corp. Facebook page, WeAreAyala on Instagram and the Ayala page on LinkedIn.
