The Department of Tourism (DOT) and Emirates Airlines signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to promote the Philippines as a leisure gateway in the Middle East and Europe, expanding travel options for Filipinos based in the region.
“This collaboration with Emirates is vital in providing more air seats and connectivity while promoting the Philippines across its vast global network,” said DOT Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco at the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on April 28, 2025.
Emirates vowed to support efforts to expand flight routes and frequencies in coordination with relevant agencies.
The DOT said it looks forward to increasing visitor traffic and deepening cultural ties with Dubai, the Middle East and Europe with the new MOU.
