The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) signed Wednesday a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to equip the Philippine workforce to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving global economy.

“Our workers, including Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), are highly sought after worldwide. This partnership with TESDA ensures their skills align with the evolving needs of industries locally and abroad,” he said.

A key focus of the partnership is on skills development, job matching and integrating overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) into the local labor market. TESDA Secretary Jose Francisco Benitez stressed the critical role of skills training in sustaining economic growth, particularly within sectors vital to the country’s economic zones.
