Globe Telecom Inc. said it strengthened its network in Cebu with the construction of more than 30 new cell sites in 2024, supporting the province’s digital growth and its thriving tourism sector.
The strategic placement of new Globe towers is set to boost mobile and data services, providing faster, more reliable connections, it said.
Reliable connectivity bridges communication gaps and improves access to essential services such as education, healthcare and financial platforms.
Globe’s network investments complement these advantages by enabling more Cebuanos to access and participate in digital opportunities.
“Cebu has long been a powerhouse of economic activity in the Visayas, and robust connectivity is essential for sustained growth. By expanding Globe’s network in the province, we aim to enable communities and businesses to thrive in the digital economy,” Patrick Gloria, Globe vice president for external affairs said.
