In celebration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and the People’s Republic of China, the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII) launched a TikTok Video Competition to provide a platform for young Filipinos to express their creativity and celebrate the historic milestone.
The competition is open to Filipinos aged 18 to 35, who are invited to submit 1 to 2-minute TikTok videos featuring any of the following themes: milestones in Philippines-China relations, stories of friendship and collaboration, artistic interpretations of shared culture and history, or visions for a stronger future partnership.
The first prize winner will receive P100,000, the second prize P50,000 and the third prize P30,000.
In addition, there will be 10 consolation prizes of P10,000 each and three special citations worth P20,000 each.
The deadline for submission is May 27, and the winners will be announced on June 8, a day before the official anniversary.
Organized by the Youth and Integration Committee in partnership with the Media and Public Information Committee, the initiative aims to highlight the milestones, shared history and evolving partnership between the two nations through creative digital storytelling.
FFCCCII president Victor Lim encouraged the youth to take part in the unique opportunity.
“Together, let’s honor our shared past, celebrate our present, and build a brighter future—through the talent and unity of our youth.” he said.
