Armani Group to manufacture single-use medical overalls

In an effort to help healthcare workers fight coronavirus in hard-hit Italy, the Giorgio Armani Group have turned all its Italian production plants into facilities manufacturing single-use medical overalls.

The announcement came after the luxury goods company pledged to donate 1.25 million euros to Italy’s Civil Protection Department as well as Italian hospitals and institutions including the Luigi Sacco, San Raffaele, and Istituto dei Tumori in Milan, and Istituto Spallanzani in Rome. 

In previous weeks, Giorgio Armani has also contributed to hospitals in Bergamo, Piacenza, and Versilia in the Tuscany region, bringing the total of his donation to 2 million euros.

Italy, where the company is established and based, currently has the highest death toll due to coronavirus, with 11,591 deaths as of March 30.
