Japanese casual wear brand bets big on breezy basics

Uniqlo has rolled out its latest Linen Collection in the Philippines, featuring a variety of summer-ready pieces made from premium linen, linen blends, and cotton-linen fabrics, as part of its broader LifeWear line aimed at providing everyday comfort and functionality.

Designed for hot and humid climates, the new collection includes breathable garments crafted from natural flax fibers. The brand said its linen products are built to offer water absorption and quick-drying properties while remaining durable and softening over time with use.

The lineup includes three categories: Premium Linen, made of 100 percent European Linen Flax; Linen Blend, which combines 30 percent linen with 70 percent rayon to reduce wrinkling and offer a smoother drape; and Cotton Linen, composed of 30 percent linen and 70 percent cotton, for a more structured feel. Uniqlo stated that the varied fabric compositions aim to cater to different preferences for daily wear.
