Now in its ninth year, Inspired Beginnings returns to Conrad Manila as a gathering of designers, event stylists, and creative minds who continue to shape what modern Filipino weddings look like.
Set for June 28 and 29 at the Forbes and Taft Ballrooms, the event brings together seasoned professionals with a shared focus on personal storytelling through fashion and design.

Opening the two-day showcase is Francis Libiran, who presents a solo fashion show directed by Ariel Lozada. His latest collection, titled Devocion, explores the theme of commitment in relationships and in craftsmanship.
“We called it Devocion because it talks about my commitment to designing and making all my brides feel beautiful on their special day,” Libiran told Manila Standard Life in an interview. “It’s my devotion to give them the best on their special day.”
Libiran spoke of a shift in wedding fashion, with couples now seeking pieces that express their individuality.
“Filipinas now have a more exciting taste. They want something more personalized. They want a different form that will show off their personality,” he said. “With men, it’s not going to be the traditional black tuxedo. You’re not going to see that. The tuxedo will be of very neutral tones, not the usual tuxedo, so to speak.”
More couples are incorporating symbols and designs with emotional meaning according to Libiran.
“There’s a lot of DIYs these days because they really want something meaningful for them,” the celebrated designer shared. “I get brides who want specific patterns wherein it shows the palace where they first met. Another groom wanted a barong with an Eiffel Tower design because that’s where he met his bride.”
Libiran added that he draws inspiration from the people he designs for, whether it’s a wedding gown or a formal dress.
“I enjoy my one-on-one interaction with my brides and grooms. Getting to know them and executing the design that they want is such a fulfilling commitment.” For this year’s show, he decided not to include celebrity models. “We wanted the dress to be the highlight of the show,” he said.

The second day features designers Rian Fernandez, Manny Halasan, Nat Manilag, Ehrran Montoya, Val Taguba, Vee Tan, and Ryan Uson. Their collective presentation will be directed by Robby Carmona. Event stylists include Bloom Events by Allan & JP, Ginger Gaddi, Randy Lazaro, Tiger Lim, Drew Menor, Dave Sandoval, FJ Sionson, and Kathy Sy King.
The event is organized in collaboration with Getting Married Wedding Coordinators and Event Planners, led by Kutchie Zaldarriaga.

A media launch was held ahead of the show to gather designers, creatives, and industry partners in a celebration of bridal fashion rooted in Filipino artistry.
Conrad Manila general manager Fabio Berto said this year’s edition is not just a bridal fair.
“Turning nine years, Conrad Manila is celebrating the art of love and the promise of new beginnings with an extraordinary showcase of some of the country’s world-class designers and top-tier event stylists,” he said. “This is more than just an event—it is a celebration of love, artistry, and the beautiful collaboration and partnership. Drawing inspiration from the Philippines’ art icons and legends, this year’s edition is also a heartfelt tribute to the impeccable talent of Filipino artists.”
The hotel executive added that the event aims to elevate bridal elegance.
“We take bridal elegance to new heights, curating a spectacular experience filled with visionary designers, stylists, and industry leaders all dedicated to crafting unforgettable wedding moments,” he said.
