COMPUTEX 2025 Opens in Taipei: AI Takes Center Stage

Taipei, Taiwan — Computex 2025 has formally opened this week with a clear message: The age of AI is no longer on the horizon—it’s here. Under the theme “AI Next,” the event highlights how artificial intelligence is transforming industries, economies, and daily life.

In the opening keynote, organizers emphasized that AI has crossed a major threshold. Machines can now think, reason, and remember—once uniquely human traits—ushering in a new era of intelligent robotics and real-world applications. From healthcare to factories, smart robots are poised to become everyday partners.

“AI isn’t just advancing—it’s evolving, we’re moving toward a world where machines learn from experience, and that changes everything.” remarked by James Huang, Chairman of Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA)

Taiwan is leading this shift, thanks to its semiconductor strength and innovation ecosystem. Computex 2025 spotlights three major areas:

AI & Robotics

Next-Gen Tech (chips, cloud, and edge computing)

Future Mobility (cleaner, smarter transport)

More than 60% of the show floor is now AI-focused, with global tech leaders like NVIDIA, Qualcomm, and Foxconn sharing their latest breakthroughs.

Innovex 2025, now on its 10th year, features 450 startups from 24 countries, while partnerships with Taiwan’s government agencies further strengthen its global innovation role.

Co-organizer Paul Peng, Chairman of the Taipei Computer Association, summed it up:

“With Taiwan’s tech power and global connections, Computex is where the future of AI begins.”

As the event continues throughout the week, one question echoes across the halls:
“What will the world need when AI is everywhere?”
At Computex 2025, the search for answers has begun.
