Red Diwa joins TCR Asia Series in a Hyundai Elantra N

After establishing his name in Philippine motorsports, Red Diwa is stepping up to the international stage. He has confirmed his entry into the TCR Asia Series, where he’ll pilot a Hyundai Elantra N TCR run by Eurasia Motorsport.

Sponsored by NanoMoly, this marks Red’s biggest career move yet, following a string of local achievements. He first made his mark by winning the Promotional Class title in the 2017 Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Vios Cup. Two years later, he clinched the overall crown.

He also found success in single-seaters, winning the 2019 Formula V1 Challenge AM Class, and placed 3rd in the 2023 MSCC Miata Spec Series’ Pro Class.

But the Hyundai Elantra N TCR is unlike any other race car he’s driven. It’s powered by a 2.0L turbocharged engine that sends 350 hp to the front wheels via a 6-speed sequential gearbox. It runs on slick tires all around, and the entire car (with driver) weighs just 1,265 kg.

Aside from learning the new machinery, Red will also have to adapt to new circuits. The 2025 calendar spans six rounds with stops in China, Malaysia, Thailand, and South Korea.

Supporting him through his journey is NanoMoly. Distributed by Gama Peak Industries, Inc., it is a high-performance engine oil booster developed with advanced German Technology to enhance engine performance and protection.

Red’s entry will be managed by Philippine-based Eurasia Motorsport. One of the most seasoned teams in the region, they’ve achieved wins and championships in the Asian Le Mans Series, Blancpain GT Series Asia, and even the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. Their graduates include Daniel Ricciardo, Marlon Stockinger, and Daniel Miranda, who was crowned TCR Asia Drivers’ Champion in 2019.

Red’s move to TCR Asia isn’t just a step up—it’s the fulfillment of a long-standing ambition.

“TCR Asia has always been one of my dreams,” he shared. “It’s a competitive, well-respected series that brings out the best in touring car talent. After proving myself locally, I wanted to see how I measure up against Asia’s finest.”

With a proven track record and the right team behind him, he’s ready to make his mark on the international stage.

Red Diwa: “I’m beyond excited to join TCR Asia—it’s a huge step for me. I’m looking forward to learning, growing, and giving it everything I’ve got. The goal is to be competitive every weekend, learn as much as I can, and hopefully be in the title fight. More than anything, I want to represent the Philippines well and show what we’re capable of on this stage.”

Mark Goddard, Eurasia Motorsport Team Principal: “It’s a big jump in performance for Red with a significant increase in power and grip compared to the cars he has raced until now. He has really applied himself to learning how to drive the car and we are confident he will be competitive in class and will only get better as the season progresses.”
