QCinema to launch RainbowQC Pride Film Festival for first time in June

QCinema International Film Festival is expanding its LGBTQIA+ RainbowQC program into a standalone festival from June 25 to 27.

The event will be held at Gateway Cineplex 18, Cinema 12, in Cubao, Quezon City, as part of the city’s official Pride Month celebrations.

Formerly just a programming strand within QCinema, RainbowQC now boasts a curated selection of international and Filipino films exploring queer experiences with depth and diversity.

Highlights include Petersen Vargas’ Some Nights I Feel Like Walking—a Southeast Asian premiere—alongside LGBTQIA+ titles such as Cocoon (Germany), Consequences (Slovenia), and a local shorts compilation covering a spectrum of queer stories.

The move is described by QCinema as a sign of commitment to “full‑blown pride realness,” offering audiences films centered on joy, identity, and resilience.

Ticket prices for feature screenings range from about P150 to P300, while short film blocks will include free screenings of select titles.
