‘A Walk to Remember’ remake in the works

Based on Nicholas Sparks’ 1999 novel of the same name, the film follows the love story of rebellious teen Landon Carter (Shane West) and soft-spoken Jamie Sullivan (Mandy Moore), who battles a terminal illness.

Moore has previously voiced support for a remake of the cult classic, even suggesting Grammy winner Olivia Rodrigo as a possible lead.

According to producers, the remake of “A Walk to Remember” aims to introduce the story to a younger audience while keeping the emotional core that made it a classic.

Apart from “A Walk to Remember,” Sparks’ novels have had several film adaptations, including “The Notebook” and “Dear John.”

Details about the film’s casting and a possible release date have yet to be announced.
