‘Saving Grace: The Untold Story’ adds new scenes for TV broadcast

Following its success on Prime Video, Saving Grace is airing its “Untold Story” on free TV today with new scenes. The extended version premieres at 9:30 p.m. on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and TV5.

The series, ABS-CBN’s adaptation of the Japanese drama Mother from Nippon TV, gained popularity for its emotional storyline and strong performances. The television release will feature additional confrontations and dramatic scenes

The show, which premiered online, received praise for its cast’s performances and its portrayal of maternal sacrifices. Zia Grace, who plays an abused child, has been recognized as the country’s next big child star for her role.

Saving Grace: The Untold Story follows four mothers, played by Jennica Garcia, Janice de Belen, Julia Montes, and Sharon Cuneta, as they confront secrets from their past. It centers on Anna (Montes), a teacher who kidnaps her student Grace (Zia) upon discovering her abuse at home.

Directed by FM Reyes and Dolly Dulu, and produced by Dreamscape Entertainment, the series also stars Sam Milby, Christian Bables, Elisse Joson, and Eric Fructuoso. It marks the return of Montes, Cuneta, and Milby to primetime television.
