Miss Universe Asia 2024 Chelsea Manalo returned to the country on Monday, Dec. 9.
The Miss Universe Organization announced the details of her arrival and invited fans to join the festivities at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 at 5:30 p.m.
“We’re excited to have you back home, Queen! Join us as we welcome Miss Universe Asia 2024, Chelsea Manalo, on December 9, 5:30 PM, at NAIA Terminal 1,” the organization said.
“Let’s give her the welcome she deserves for her much-talked-about historic win as a Miss Universe Continental Queen! See you there!” it added.
Chelsea’s win at the 73rd Miss Universe pageant in Mexico City last month marks a milestone for the Philippines, as she became the first Filipina to clinch the title of Miss Universe Asia.
In a video shared by Miss Universe Philippines after her victory, the Bulacan-native beauty queen expressed her gratitude to her supporters.
“Maraming salamat. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas! We are making history as the first Miss Universe Asia!” she stated.
