Kryzl Jorge, CEO of Purple Hearts, showcased her vocal talent at Ogieokie 2: The Reimagined on Saturday, Nov. 30, where she performed a duet with Ogie Alcasid and joined next-gen artists BINI, JM dela Cerna, and Marielle Montillano in reimagining the iconic hits of the OPM legend.
“It was my first time singing a Filipino song in front of a huge audience, and I enjoyed singing with Tito Ogie,” the eight-year-old Kryzl told Manila Standard Entertainment. “ I had to study and memorize the lyrics. I had to practice several times because i wanted to give justice to the song.”

After the performance, the eloquent young talent expressed her gratitude for the mentorship of Alcasid, calling it a “blessing” to be guided by such a legendary figure.
“It’s been amazing. Tito Ogie is not just a talented mentor but also an icon of OPM. I was nervous at first, but he taught me how to connect with the audience. I’m grateful to call him my mentor,” she added.
Kryzl didn’t miss the chance to fan-girl with her favorite P-pop girl group noting that her “bias” is BINI.
After their duet of the classic “Pangako,” Alcasid praised Kryzl’s performance and thanked her, along with BINI, JM dela Cerna, and Marielle Montillano, for helping to carry forward the legacy of OPM.
“These are the songs I used to sing when I was younger, and I wanted to have a little fun with it. Now, these are the songs I want to reintroduce to the younger generation,” Alcasid shared.
Fans of Kryzl can look forward to more surprises from her this December.
