Ken Chan, seven others face syndicated estafa charge in alleged restaurant investment scam

Actor Ken Chan, along with several others, is facing a syndicated estafa complaint related to an alleged investment dispute involving a restaurant business. The complaint was filed by a businessman, represented by Attorneys Joseph Noel Estrada and Maberick Romero, who claims to have invested 14 million pesos in the venture.

Authorities recently attempted to serve a second warrant in connection with the case, with the first warrant reportedly served on Sept. 24, 2024.

According to legal experts, if the allegations are proven, the potential penalties could include reclusion perpetua, or life imprisonment.

Chan’s legal representative, who also reportedly represents actress Rita Daniela, has not issued a public statement at this time. During the recent warrant service, no individuals were present to formally respond on behalf of the parties involved.
