The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) has released the results of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Entrance and Promotional Examinations held on April 27, 2025, in testing centers nationwide.
Out of 42,499 total examinees, 13,464 passed — with 8,288 passing the entrance test and 5,176 clearing the promotional exams. The overall passing rate was recorded at 33.80 percent.
NAPOLCOM Vice Chairperson and Executive Officer Rafael Vicente R. Calinisan emphasized the significance of the results in building a merit-based, trustworthy police force. “Every name on that list represents a promise to the Filipino people — a promise of service, leadership, and excellence,” he said.
The PNP Entrance Exam was open to civilians and probationary officers, while the Promotional Exams were for in-service officers seeking advancement. Successful candidates now qualify for either entry into or promotion within the PNP, depending on their exam track.
Those who passed the entrance test may now apply for Patrolman or Patrolwoman posts, provided they meet the other requirements under Republic Act No. 8551. Promotional passers are eligible for higher ranks, according to NAPOLCOM criteria.
