Adamson, Mapúa among 6 Philippine universities in QS World University Rankings 2026

A total of six Philippine universities landed on this year’s Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings, including newcomers Adamson University and Mapúa University.

The University of the Philippines (UP) maintained its top spot among Philippine higher education institutions (HEIs) at 362nd globally, falling from its 336th placement last year.

Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU), which ranked second-highest among Philippine HEIs, rose to a global placement of 511th place from last year’s 516th.

These are followed by De La Salle University (DLSU) at 654th and the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in the 851-900 bracket.

Meanwhile, Adamson figured in the 1,001-1,200 bracket, while Mapúa placed in the 1,401+ tier.

The QS World University Rankings 2026 included 1,501 ranked institutions. Of which, 478 rose while 573 dropped in their ranking.

A total of 106 countries or locations were represented, up by three from last year. Altogether, there were 112 newly ranked institutions.
