LRMC apologizes as electrical issue puts LRT-1 under limited operations

The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) apologized to commuters Wednesday as an electrical fault placed the trains at LRT-1 under ‘temporary limited operations,’ running only from Gil Puyat to Fernando Poe Jr. stations and vice versa.

“Our Engineering Team is currently on-site, actively addressing an electrical fault located between Redemptorist-Aseana Station and Baclaran Station,” the LRMC said in an advisory posted on its social media accounts.

“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by this unforeseen incident. We encourage all commuters to plan their trips accordingly and to stay informed through our official channels for the latest advisories,” it added.

The LRMC assured that its teams are conducting thorough assessment of the situation to resolve ongoing issues followed by necessary repairs.

“These proactive measures are crucial for ensuring safety and reliability across the entire LRT-1 system. LRMC is committed to providing continuous service to our passengers. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide real-time updates as progress is made,” the company said.
