Presidential Communications Office (PCO) senior undersecretary Ana Puod resigned on Tuesday, June 17.
A report by GMA News’ radio arm DZBB said Puod submitted her resignation letter to Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin and PCO Secretary Jay Ruiz.
The reason behind her resignation has yet to be disclosed and whether it has been accepted by the authorities.
Ruiz has also submitted his courtesy resignation in compliance with President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.’s directive to all members of his Cabinet late last May, but was asked to stay in his post and continue working pending his confirmation by the Commission on Appointments.
Bersamin confirmed Tuesday that Ruiz was officially reappointed as PCO chief.
Prior to the resignation of Puod, many employees in the PCO have also tendered their resignations amid ongoing changes in the organization.
